Keith A. Bennett, P.E., P.S.

Mr. Bennett is a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor's in Science in Civil Engineering. He has worked in the engineering and transportation industry for the past 25 years concentrating on transportation engineering including highway and bridge design. He is President and Chief Financial Officer of the civil engineering/surveying/planning firm of Hammontree & Associates, Limited where he is a member of the Board of Managers and also Manager of Transportation Engineering Services. His main focus has been working for various state, county and local agencies in the design and inspection of bridges and roadways. He has been lead design engineer or project manager on numerous bridge projects throughout Ohio including the Dressler Road / Hall of Fame Bridge in Stark County. He has also been involved in overseeing Countywide Bridge Inspection Programs for several counties in eastern Ohio that include the inspection of over 1500 bridges on an annual basis. He also has significant experience in the design of water distribution systems including waterlines, pump stations, water storage tanks and also sanitary sewer collection systems.

Besides specific project management experience, he has been involved in the day to day operation of Hammontree & Associates. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer for over eight years being involved in the corporate financial accounting of the firm including overseeing accounts payable, receivables, general ledgers, and cost accounting issues. He has also been responsible for administration of the firm's employee benefits including healthcare and employee defined contribution plans. In his role as President he has gained experience in day to day firm management, corporate strategic planning, and human resources for the 50 plus employee firm.

He is a registered Professional Engineer in 3 states including Ohio, West Virginia and Tennessee. He is also a registered Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio and West Virginia. He is qualified as a Level 2 Bridge Designer by the Ohio Department of Transportation. He is also qualified by ODOT to complete Categorical Exclusion documents as part of the planning process for highway and bridge projects.

His many volunteer efforts have been concentrated in community service and professional development. He is currently Chairman of the Ribs Burn-off for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival, completing his 15th year on the committee. He is also serving as a Board Member and Vice President of the Friends of the Children's Network. He serves as Vice President of the Cuyahoga Valley Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.

Mr. Bennett has been involved in the civil engineering field since high school, working for his father on survey crews during the summers. He is familiar with the operations of County Engineers in Ohio since his father is the current Belmont County Engineer (33 years). He also routinely attends seminars and conferences sponsored by the County Engineer's Association of Ohio allowing him the opportunity to network with County Engineers throughout Ohio.

He has been a resident of Stark County for 23 years and currently resides in North Canton with his wife, Barb, and two children, Andy and Maddie. In his spare time, Keith enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
